On this Oklahoma snowy day in March I had a great surge of creative juices. I sat down and wrote a mini-series titled OK-E Nature Woman. It combines film, reality, and music into an episodic adventure that takes seven women on a journey through some of Oklahoma's most scenic areas while developing a team, writing music and a prospective for starting a small lbusiness.
Here is the outline:
Seven women are brought together from different parts of Oklahoma. Each woman needs to have a rough exterior with gentle beauty. Each woman needs to be in the age range of 18 to 50. She needs to be fit and able to ride a horse, set up a camp and campfire, fish and bait her hook, cook outdoors, hike, canoe, ride a three wheeler or dirt bike, love animals, and willing to explore caves and rough territory. Each woman must have an Oklahoma Fishing license, and land permit. Each woman must play some kind of musical instrument or be able to sing. At no time should anyone be by themselves hiking. They will have to make teams. Liability releases will have to be signed.
Seven women are selected from an open call audition to participate in a three week shoot traveling around Oklahoma exploring rivers, historical sites, and wildlife parks while developing a team of go getters that by the end of the run they develop a business together and launch it on the final show. Through each episode and set of tasks leaders will arise. Follow the woman to see who will become the top OK-E Nature Woman and President of this new company. The other six women will form two committees: Finance and Operations. Each committee will select a chair position. They will have one week to write a business prospective to present to investors.
I have eight episode outlined so far.
Please tell me what you think. I value honest input. I'm also interested in finding people who are intested in crew or financing positions.
